Short but Sweet

Why  does  everything I buy from a  real store turn  into a nightmare.   I got a  little Nikon  coolpix camera , they were  half price in  a sale. It now has a battery fault  so its unusable just days after the warranty ran out !! Looks it up online only to find this is a known fault , for which there is no cure its terminal . Nikons response is to post it back to them in Japan , which you cant do because it has a small internal battery that cant be removed . So theyve  sold thousands of these , the fault has been known for quite some time and  you can do nada about it . As it was pointed out online in one of the forums all  you can do is never buy Nikkon again!! .
So im pictureless at  the moment , i dont have a camera phone , just a cheapy Nokia for my endless calls , a smart phone is useless for someone who can be on the phone for hours at a time , they burn out . I need a camera for work so im trying my daughters ,which appears far to complicated for what i need ....Lifes such  fun

  1. I'm pretty sure the battery isn't a problem if it's fitted in equipment. Unfortunately some PO staff don't understand their own rules and will give you duff info.

    1. Our not so local post office is a nightmare they wont accept any parcels that dont have the contents written on the outside in black marker . wont accept anything electrical then will insist you open the parcel to check the contents

    2. I know. Aggressive and uninformed PO staff have put me off ever selling on ebay again. I don't even send birthday/xmas gifts to family by post any more - I'd rather order something online and let the retailer deal with it.

  2. Our first digital camera was a Coolpix, was the size of a house brick but lasted years, when it packed up I managed to find a replacement on ebay for less than a fiver. It kept me going until i could save for an upgrade. I've just checked ebay and there's some working models on there currently at 99p. Should see you through. x

  3. How totally annoying. I agree that some times you just feel cheated by these big firms. We just decided computer firms have the same attitude - designed not to last so you end up making another purchase! Good idea to try ebay!!
