Meanwhile

I think ive near gardened myself to death in the last week...lol  but theres a method in my madness , food production must be improved , still loads of stuff still to go in 'my jewel corn has generated a treat , squash is all peeking,  a way to go with my miscellaneous tomatoes that have barely grown but what the hell ,need to source some cucumber plans as mine all just upped and died the other day  , which is a bit weird .  Though i wonder why im bothering with our daft arsed government wanting  to practice shading the sun , thats going to be good for the endless solar farms isnt it?

In the real world however we have to elect a new Mayor on Thursday, 80 thousand pounds to do exactly what ? totally baffling i cant see why we need one they serve no purpose just another imaginary job dreamed up by the government . As for the candidates a more dubious scrofulous bunch ive never seen , i will vote , Labour seem to have the biggest budget theyre all over Facebook singing the praises of their candidate, all i will say is that i wont be voting Reform ye gods im not that desperate

  1. It is amazing to read all about the UK folks out doing so much gardening already - we are just barely starting to see some signs of Spring although the cherry blossoms should be in bloom by this weekend - always spectacular. Otherwise - what we call our May long weekend May 19/20 is normally the time when everyone hits the gardening centres and starts planting - still a bit risky. We hit 23C this afternoon - then a storm blew in and now temps will drop to about 3C tonight and only up to 10C tomorrow - that is a typical April - late May in Canada.

  2. We have had an exceptionally early spring this year , nothing that a frost would kill is going out yet, its glorious summer heat this week once our famous wind gets up it can soon drop right back down . We need rain before the familiar dust bowl conditions set in
