OOPS

Well ive tried for weeks to avoid this but im afraid its got to be done  . Im going to comment on US politics even though its none of my business and you lot voted for this muppet . As a comparison , nobody here voted for Liz Truss we just got lumbered with her lunacy because the Tories never listen to anyone who wasnt a donor   What the hell is going on, the return of the orange one seems to be going well doesnt it?  Meanwhile Musk is runnng riot in his normal mr wonderful mode as he starts the asset stripping of every government department he can get through the doors of . Theres so much bullshit being pumped out by the usual suspects online its hard to tell what the actual truth is .  Musk is the real danger , he knows best and is only happy when destroying anything he gets his hands on . Bezos and Zuckerberg looked like a pair of hostages at the inaugerration and its made the news a giggle every morning when we get up . No matter how bad things are here in the UK this shambles makes us look good and at the moment we still have cheap eggs . For a country with so many guns is nobody a good shot?

  1. I know a lot of people over there through my writing, and to be honest, I'm worried sick for them.

  4. Well, I have to say, I agree with the other Anonymous above. And while I think ALL Politicians are only in it for themselves, and I was never Biden/Harris, Obama/Biden fan either nor a fan of Wokeness either, I would never in a million years suggest assassination was a remedy!

    1. Just so you all know - I thought I had left my moniker Dawn P. USA at end of my post. I don't have a special google or URL to use. And I still stand by what I said above, and I am born and raised 67 yr old american citizen, who is neither Democrat nor Republican but rather Libertarian. I have been a follower/reader of this blog for many years. I am just not a fan of someone thinking killing another human being due to their politics not very humanistic. Very rude to also call someone a coward, when you don't know WHY there was not a name on the post, that I have NOW corrected. Oh, and like many, many others, my family are immigrants on both sides, who came through Ellis Island between 1900 and 1920, legally and by the law, and became hard working US Citizens. So sorry, but not sorry; I do not support illegal immigration, for any country, for any reason. Dawn P. USA

  5. Yes, hide behind an Anonymous moniker! Perhaps when your jobs and economy are impacted and another nations leader directly says they want to annex your country (which is another word for taking over by force) , and said country is right over your shared border, you will grow a backbone and not take potshots at others opinions on the matter...

  6. Who has a problem with wokeness? Not me. I am in favour of social justice and anti-discrimination laws. Perhaps outsiders see the barrel of a gun as the answer for the coup that is happening in the US because guns have, historically, been seen to solve political problems. I agree with you Kate that what is happening in the US is deeply concerning and damaging well beyond their borders. The right is rising everywhere. Helen

  8. No, this madness is bigger than one man and there will always be another. I can only hope that the pendulum will swing back sooner rather than later. Mary in Maine.

  9. Well, didn't you set the cat amongst the pigeons. =) Ahh..... the American conservative right; they're such a sad and sorry lot. Totally agree with everything you said, Kate. And as for people thinking we outsiders who live in another country don't have a right to offer an opinion, nor indeed pass judgement on US politics; the way Trump and his sidekick, Musk, are strutting about 'putting right' countries who objectionably disagree with Trump's simplistic and idiotic solutions...well....sadly, the world will become involved. Such a helluva mess. I can't believe it's only been four weeks since Trump and his Deplorables have bulldozed through everything. It's truly the Twilight Zone.
