What a week lol we got married last Monday , yes i know i should run for the hills , find my inner self etc etc but at my age and after 20 years of his shoutiness and general daftness im used to him . No frills no fuss he got married in his camo shorts and a Lego tshirt and i raked a 70s burgandy velvet frock out of the back of the wardrobe and my DMs , we took a grown up kid each, one of who knew nothing about it till we got there. Due to his dire walking abilities he was on his crutches and stumbling allover, so we ended up getting married in the Coroners office which was the nearest available room ..lol it appealed to my inner goth .
What occasioned this event , well i think he finally agreed when he found they were going to charge him £400 more for his car insurance because we wernt married , or it could have been the threats from our ever loving landlords the Local Council , recently theyve been reminding me that i and son are homeless in 6 weeks if he goes into care or dies at every turn . Or the not being able to deal with his medical matters because im not his next of kin AARRRGGHHHH .
So its a marriage of convenience with added Chinese food . And we now have the magic bit of paper that will shut them all up
Congratulations, whatever the reason!
ReplyDeleteIf it makes life easier for you, then it's a good thing. And well done for doing it your way.
ReplyDeleteGood for you especially. Why not work the system and securing your future is most important. They're perfectly happy to have you be a carer for almost no money when it suits them and then throw you out if things change.
ReplyDeleteMany congratulations! That wedding sounds wonderful! And very "you"!
ReplyDeleteI am very pleased - As now your future is secure - I was worried for you previously - He may be infuriating like mine but if the truth were told I believe many people do not have the perfect life - Your dress sounds lovely - I wish you lots of happiness and peace xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, as others have said, more secure future for you. Your outfit sounds, great. Wishing you many more years together.
ReplyDeleteSo that's why you were giving that gorgeous dress an outing! Happily unmarried here but I'm sure if it meant saving a few hundred quid we'd be tempted! xxx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations I'm trying to talk my daughter into this but kids know everything. Your wedding sounded just you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Sounds very you-like occasion.

Congratulations for dressing for the occasion! (What one wears to a wedding in a Coroner's office has baffled me...)
