And the Winner Is

Amanda ...please email me your address and i will stick an autistic teenager on a bike with the plates ...kidding
Meanwhile in the real world , weve being doing endless Mr Bah Humbug trips and now Ive more Baldrick trips in this weeks workload , they moved him back to his old assisted living project and because most of the residents have been sent to jail he quite likes it there , well thats what theyve told him,  personally I think the staff may have held a cull . Hes got a work placement doing land clearance which he loves and hes still taking his medication and seems fairly lucid . So slightly less worried about him at the moment .
Mr Bah Humbug however is driving me mad after his cured by GP glancing at scan appointment , though he cheered up a bit today, he had his urgent Podiatry appointment and they told him that his galloping diabetes and imminent amputation is actually an ingrowing toenail and his blood sugar is fine . Theyre off to do that for him in the next few weeks , but once again they asked if he has Parkinsons , he was having a bad tremor day today and doing his drunken sailor walk . His comment?

Its all in my head ask my GP

Someone paid me a tiny payment into the bank so I can work the rest of the week ....WHOOPIE
I squandered most of it on a bit of shopping
1 mothers day card
2 packs of pork scratchings
Huge cabbage, cauliflower leeks and grapes off the market , a whopping £2.20
Broad Bean & Sweetcorn seeds Wilcos £2.50
A small bag of compost £2 because I enjoy walking miles back to the car with it , theres nowhere to park due to the poxy transport hub eyesore theyre building in Lincoln .
Then Morrisons for 4 pork chops for tea £5 thats the reason we dont often get decent meat, first time in a year we have had pork chops.
Liver
Cooking Bacon
Cat food
Giant hotdogs
Bread

Ive come to the conclusion I'm just seriously mean not just frugal , Ive been whinging that the prices at the cat jumble sale now being 30p an item , i got a tee shirt for son some xmas fabric and another piece for quilting , plus a typewriter for a £1 . Then yesterday I went off on one because i'd 7 adults for tea and the munchkin and had to use my imagination and root to the very back of the cupboad , it ended up as slow cooker chicken f*%k knows stew.
One lonely chicken breast shredded
One big tin of seriously out of date flagelot beans
3 sticks of wilty celery
2 mangy carrots
handful of lentils handful of dried onions
stock cube
half a tin of tomato paste lurking at the back of the fridge
3 cloves of garlic
two big spoonfuls of chilli sauce
sprinkle of everyday value herbs
add dumplings at the end

Beggers belief but they all went back for seconds , why are the good stews and casseroles always the stuff you just throw in?

  1. Mangy carrots - always handy! and it sounds OK to me except for those beans which would have a seriously not nice effect!

  2. One off stews with everything but the kitchen sink in them are always a huge hit here.
