Grim Day

Saturdays are usually pretty grim , everybody's home , they all want things done NOW  and its always creative cooking day , the weather forecast looks good for tomorrow so ive got mountains of curtains to measure and label , oh the joys of probably the last car boot sale of the year , i need to get rid of tons of books so a 10p sale on them tomorrow , just on the grounds of  by Spring i will have read dozens more ..lol
I dont have much storage space , ive 40p to my name till someone pays me, no fuel and theres a good cat jumble sale today Aaaaaarrrrggggghhh 10am Birchwood Scout Hut    just spotted another Scout Hut Nettleham 11am , tiny jumble but ive found some amazingly strange stuff there from time to time.
Weird cooking fact , seriously out of date cuppa soups , half a bag of freezer burnt mixed veg , the bones and skin of last nights chilli chicken , slack hand full of lentils and pearl barley and a few soup noodles make good soup .
The ebay shop is up on its wobbly toddler legs , diabolical photos and scans. Because the postage on the listings is so hard to figure, im only listing teeny things and selling in the UK which is a bummer .

So im off to measure curtains wish me luck , ive mountains to get through but i know i will start rooting, find something interesting and my mission will take most of the day ...lol

  1. I'm exhausted just reading this post Katie. There's so much going on. You're like a life juggler. Put your feet up with a mug of coffee and enjoy "Football Focus" with me.

  5. Guess you are happy where you live and doing what you do!. Otherwise you would move. Admit would be my idea of hell. Edinburgh has lots of work As do other cities. To me you appear to live in a bubble thinking is all you know, deserve no more.Shake yourself off is a big world out there ,not just your corner!.

  6. I can hear the no money to move excuse!. Get a job then move!. If mr ba humbug is so sick as you say drop him off at at any hospital saying you can,t cope, they have a duty to care for him. Sure let him know your plans to collect him later!.

    1. Kirrie you make me chuckle sometimes , im not driven by material things at all i havent been for many years . On a bad day you sound like my mother who has suggested putting a pillow over my partners head so i can get on with my life . On a good day youre positively helpful

    2. Actually was trying to be helpful. You have said have NO money coming in to the house at all you for some reason work but never get paid crazy. Threatened with eviction can not pay any bills, have no food but won,t accept any from the food bank.
Yet you say I sound like your mother, maybe she has got a point just now. Living on the street or in a hostel if a place is available would not be pleasant.
The council will not let you stay forever not paying bills, elec and gas will be cut off. Health will suffer obviously with no food.

  7. Good luck with those listings. On the rare occasion I sell anything on eBay I search for similar things and take an average of the postage costs. xxx
